Set off from the South Bay, a two- minute walk from our bed-and-breakfast, where the sweeping shoreline is adorned with colourful beach huts and the iconic Star Disk glistens in the sunlight, displaying a symbol of Scarborough’s maritime heritage and connection to the stars. Visit the Star disk again at night to experience it in its glory of lights.
Before you set off much further on your walk, take a few moments to visit the hidden oasis of tranquility known as the Italian Gardens. This picturesque retreat, adorned with lush greenery and vibrant floral displays, offers a serene escape and sets a glorious tone for your day’s adventure.
